Awana is a powerful program that helps children learn and apply the Bible to their daily living. Yet the design of Awana, and its ultimate success for any child, is highly dependent upon support from adults in the life of the Awana club member. Your work at home with your child will be essential to their progress and success in learning the Awana material. Just ten-minutes a day will provide a great benefit to your child. We encourage you to be an involved parent. It can make an eternal difference in the life of your child.
Some other ways you can also help with the success of our Awana club:
- Be on-time for club meetings. Our start time this year is 5:30 pm.
- Children are to check-in at the Awana check-in window, then proceed directly to the gym for Opening Ceremonies.
- Please be sure to pick-up your child promptly at the completion of our club time, 7:00 pm. Our Awana leaders still have to clean-up and conclude their evening. On church conference nights, they would like to come be a part of the conferences, which begin at 7:00 pm.
- This year, T&T and Sparks clubbers will be picked-up in the lobby of the ROC. Cubbies will be picked-up from their meeting room.
- On church conference nights, Awana leaders will bring children from the ROC to church conference for those parents who have agreed to this writing. Other children will remain in the ROC lobby until picked up by their parent.
- This year, Cubbies will be more self-contained. Parents are invited to come be part of various Cubbie activities, such as awards presentations, in the Cubbie room.
As an Awana parent, we hope you will join with us in making this a great club year that the children will enjoy while learning lots about God's love and plan for them!
