Purpose of the Long Range Planning Team:

Lead in developing a minimum 3 to 5 year strategic plan for our church across the five major functions of worship, evangelism, discipleship, fellowship, and ministry.  It is envisioned that this will include but not be limited to areas such as buildings and space needs, financial needs, staffing, and alignment of ministries.  The Church Council will be a resource to the steering team to provide a broader basis for input, feedback, and support.  Church staff will also support the team and process.

The process will likely include the following phases:

Analysis/Assessment – Where are we? Where do we need to be? 

Mission, Vision, and Process

Church strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats

Community strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats

Identify needs, opportunities, and priorities

Strategic Development – What will it take to get where we need to be?

Ministry opportunities
