Upward is basketball with purpose - to help lead boys and girls to help know Jesus Christ. Registration begins each fall, with practices starting in December. Upward Baseketball games are played in January and February. The season-ending award ceremony, a highlight of the year, is held each March. Upward is for boys and girls in grade school.
Mission Friends
Mission Friends is a Wednesday night missions education class for preschoolers. The children study missionaries at work and conduct learning activities that help to involve them in missions education.
Children in Action (CIA)/Mission Friends
CIA is our missions education and involvement program for boys and girls in the 1st through 6th grades. They meet each Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm.m. CIA utilizes activities that are designed to help children learn about missions and how they can become personally involved in missions experiences.
Vacation Bible School
VBS is our summertime emphasis that focuses upon teaching children about God's love for them and His plan of salvation that is available to all. The weeklong emphasis features learning activities, worship, crafts and recreational events that are designed specifically for the needs of children using a "theme" environment. VBS is for children in grades Kindergarten through the 6th grade.
Sunday School
We have graded classes beginning with pre-school in our nursery, and progressing through 6th grade. Each grade meets each Sunday morning for Bible study and learning activities designed specifically for their age group. .
JOY Special Needs Ministry
Our JOY ministry is for families with members who have special needs. Our JOY Ministry team includes a group of volunteers who work with the children in self-contained as well as mainstreamed class settings. Our JOY team ministers to the needs of the child, allowing the parents and siblings to also be involved in church and Sunday School.

Celebration Kids Children's Choir/
Preschool Praise Choir
Our children's choirs meets on Tuesday afternoons from 3:30 to 4:30. Our church bus picks children up from area elementary schools and brings them to choir, upon written permission being granted from the parents. The children learn about music and the love of God through the musical presentations they learn. The fall and spring choir seasons culminate in children's musicals for each choir. These programs are always a lot of fun and an wonderful way for the children to glorify the Lord. The Celebration Kids Choir meets in the Dining Room at the FBC Recreation Outreach Center (ROC). The Preschool Praise Choir meets in the Craft Room at the ROC.
AWANA is a fun-filled program that seeks to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him.
AWANA meetings are jam-packed with life-chaning experiences. Clubs are run by trained volunteers who have a love for the Lord and a desire to help young people.
The three segments of an AWANA meeting, Game Time, Handbook Time, and Council Time provide a start-to-finish adventure in every meeting.
Awana club meetings are Sunday afternoons from 5 to 7 p.m. Awana meets at the Recreation Outreach Center (ROC).

God's Kids Club - Childrens' Worship
First Kids children's worship is changing to God's Kids Club starting October 1st. The Club is for children in Kindergarten through 4th grade, and will meet during our main worship hour each Sunday morning, except for the last Sunday of each month. Parents need to register their children, and need to drop them off and pick them up each Sunday morning. Stacey Leigh and Lucy White are serving as ministry leaders for this exciting time of worship. God's Kids Club will meet in the Adult 2 Sunday School Assembly Area.
